Month of MARVEL: Day 13

Mr. Fantastic aka Reed Richards

Here's Reed Richards (and I do love those alliterated comic book names) or as he's also called, Mr. Fantastic. He's one of the Marvel Universe's smartest people...or is he the smartest? Anyway, more Fantastic Four goodness is on the way...

  3. Neat! I just caught this amazing blog of yours. Since Springfield is such a jolt of pop culture fun, this make so much sense!

Mr Fantastic is truly great, like the way you gave him the elastic effect and the serious, scientific look.

  5. Yay! I love these Marvel characters in Simpsons form. Mr. Fantastic is arguably one of the smartest beings in the Marvel Universe. I think Thanos put it best in the Thanos Quest mini series that all those god-like celestial beings (not the Celestials, sorry for any confusion) are actually more like children. So, on one hand they may technically be smarter than Reed Richards, but he's probably got the better head on his shoulders. Plus, his elasticity has some truly mind-boggling, unexplored capabilities. This, of course, is one of the great things about modern comic book writers: as science and technology improves, the realization of what some characters can do alters. Magneto? Yeah, he's already powerful. Take into account how many metals exist in the world and what they exist inside of that he can affect and how many other things are dependent on magnetic energies and he is so powerful it's literally frightening. And, as for the alliteration, that's a bit of Stan Lee trademark. Peter Parker, Reed Richards, Bruce Banner, Scott Summers, Sue Storm. It's kind of genius because they're comfortable to read or speak. I need to stop here before I write an incoherent novel.

  8. I think Tony Stark is actually smarter as recently he beat Reed and chess in six games they were playing all at once!
